Wesley Carpenter is a Founder and Partner at Stormfield Capital, LLC. At Stormfield Wes leads investment strategy and portfolio management. Wes serves on both the management and investment committees at Stormfield. With over 15 years of experience across the real estate capital stack, Wes has overseen more than $1.5 billion of capital invested, spanning the origination, acquisition, and asset management of commercial and residential bridge loans.
Prior to founding Stormfield, Wes was a Vice President at Greenwich Associates, a boutique consultancy dedicated to the financial services industry. There, he advised senior leadership at leading commercial and investment banks on strategic initiatives, including CRE portfolio rebalancing and the adoption of emerging structured credit products. Wes began his career as a Corporate Development Analyst at Illinois Tool Works (NYSE: ITW), where he focused on M&A and strategic growth initiatives.
Wes holds a B.S. from Fairfield University and an MBA from Binghamton University.
Tim is a Founder and Partner of Stormfield Capital, LLC. At Stormfield, Tim oversees financial and capital market operations. Tim is a member of the firm’s management and investment committees. Prior to Stormfield, Tim was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Gapstow Capital Partners, a $1 billion asset manager focused on credit and fixed income investments. While at Gapstow, Tim oversaw investments in real estate debt, including commercial real estate bridge loans, distressed commercial and residential loans and securitized assets such as CMBS, RMBS and ABS CDOs. Prior to joining Gapstow, Tim was a Principal at Barclays Global Investors, where he was responsible for the management of an institutional hedge fund-of-funds portfolio. Previously, he had been a Partner at Rocaton Investment Advisors, where he co-led the firm’s alternative research department. He began his finance career at the Northern Trust Company after serving as a Merchant Marine Officer and Lieutenant in the United States Navy, Reserve. Tim has taught classes in derivatives and investments as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Western Connecticut State University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, a B.S. in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. Tim serves on the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee of the Frederick Gunn School, a co-ed boarding and day school located in Washington, Connecticut.
Debra is the Chief Operations Officer and Head of Loan Operations & Servicing for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Debra held the position of Loan Servicing and Data Quality Control for Bankwell, administering day-to-day operations and playing a key role in a bank-wide system conversion. Prior to joining Bankwell, Debra spent 10 years with Apollo Global Management LLC, where, as Director of Finance Shared Services, established and managed a global servicing platform encompassing treasury operations, expense management, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Debra began her career with GE Capital where, over 18 years, led multiple system developments and implementations, acquisition integration and managed the administration of a $13B portfolio of commercial loans, leases and equity investments. Throughout her career, Debra has been committed to implementing quality process improvement techniques and programs to realize cost savings and produce scale amongst small teams. Debra holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University.
Kelly is a Managing Director, and Head of Accounting & Fund Operations for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Kelly was a Director of Client Service at Gen II Fund Services, LLC, a provider of fund administration services to private fund sponsors and investors worldwide. At Gen II, Kelly was responsible for the oversight of financial statement reporting and day-to-day operations of the U.S.-based Private Equity investments for a large global asset manager. Prior to Gen II, Kelly spent 14 years as a Senior Fund Operations Manager on the Alternatives Private Equity team at Aberdeen Standard Investments and FLAG Capital Management, LLC, prior to its acquisition by Aberdeen Standard Investments. During her time with Aberdeen and FLAG, Kelly provided accounting, reporting and operational support to over $8 billion of private equity, venture capital and real assets fund-of-funds. Kelly began her career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen where she obtained her CPA license. Kelly holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Bucknell University.
Kyle joined the firm in 2016 and is a Vice President. He is responsible for the origination and underwriting of bridge financing solutions supporting acquisition, refinancing and construction lending spanning single-family, multi-family, mixed-use and commercial real estate transactions. Kyle also sources and underwrites secondary market transactions involving both performing and non-performing loans and loan pools. During his time at Stormfield, Kyle has completed over 300 transactions consisting of $450 million in aggregate deal volume. Kyle earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of Connecticut and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
Dan is an Associate Vice President with Stormfield Capital, LLC. Dan is responsible for the origination, acquisition and underwriting of bridge and investment property loans. Prior to joining Stormfield, Dan participated in a rotational program with Newtown Savings Bank which focused on commercial lending, loan servicing and marketing. Dan earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Western Connecticut State University.
James is an Associate Vice President with Stormfield Capital, LLC. James is responsible for the origination and underwriting of bridge and investment property loans, as well as supporting portfolio management and analysis. Prior to joining Stormfield, James was a Corporate Finance Associate at SEI Investments where he was responsible for the automation of financial statements and analysis of billable assets for the company’s sub-advisors. James earned a B.S. in Economics from Bucknell University and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance at Saint Joseph’s University.
Callahan is a Senior Associate with Stormfield Capital, LLC. Callahan is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and structuring the origination of bridge and investment property loans. Prior to joining Stormfield, Callahan participated in a real estate field experience program at Longpoint Realty Partners. Prior to working with Longpoint, Callahan was an Investment Analyst Intern at JFH Capital. Callahan earned a B.B.A. in Real Estate including minors in Business Law and Finance from Villanova University.
Christian is a Senior Associate with Stormfield Capital, LLC. Christian is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and structuring the origination of bridge and investment property loans. Prior to joining Stormfield, Christian was an Analyst Intern at Founder Legacy Partners where he researched, evaluated, and presented tech-focused private investment opportunities. Prior to this experience, Christian was an Analyst Intern at Vista Highland. Christian earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting including a minor in Politics from Fairfield University. Christian was the most decorated member of his class and the recipient of the Dolan School of Business Academic Achievement Award, Finance Award, and Accounting Award, which were presented to the graduating student with the highest academic standing in each area.
Max is an Associate with Stormfield Capital, LLC. He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and structuring the origination of bridge and investment property loans. Prior to joining Stormfield, Max was a Transactions Summer Analyst at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital in Chicago, IL where he analyzed, evaluated, and presented acquisition opportunities of Class A properties across niche sectors including medical office, senior living, and data centers. Prior to Harrison Street, Max worked as a Project Manager at Ashton Realty Group. Max earned his B.S. in Organizational Change with a minor in Spanish from Northwestern University.
Tegan is an Investor Relations and Marketing Senior Associate for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Tegan is responsible for fielding investor inquiries and capital formation. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Tegan was a Project Manager at Guidepoint Client Services where she managed multiple primary research requests for various clients at leading institutional investment firms. Tegan earned a B.S. in Sociology and Economics from Bucknell University. Tegan was a member of the Varity Women’s Lacrosse team while at Bucknell and a member of Welsh Women’s Lacrosse National Team for 3 years.
Alex is a Fund Accountant for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Alex was an Experienced Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. During his time at PwC, Alex planned and conducted quarterly reviews and year-end audits of large SEC registrants as well as alternative investment firms. Alex holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University and an M.S.A. from Fairfield University.
Joe is an Associate Vice President for Stormfield Capital, LLC, responsible for overseeing special assets including non-performing loans and real estate owned. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Joe held the position of AVP Credit Officer for DR Bank, a Connecticut state-chartered bank underwriting Commercial loan requests. Preceding DR Bank, Joe worked for Savings Bank of Danbury for 7 years most notably within the Commercial Credit Department underwriting Commercial loan requests and facilitating troubled debt & workout loans. Joe started his career with Savings Bank of Danbury establishing a foundation of banking having worked in Retail, Compliance, Deposit Operations and Electronic Banking departments growing into his final position of Commercial Credit Analyst. Joe holds a B.B.A in Finance from Western Connecticut State University.
Laura is a Loan Servicing Associate for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Laura held the position of Mortgage Operations Specialist for Putnam County National Bank, closing and administering a robust pipeline of Commercial and Residential loans. Preceding Putnam County National Bank, Laura worked for Freedom Mortgage as a Closer, finalizing documents and facilitating timely settlements for Wholesale Correspondent loans. Laura began her career with PCSB Bank where, over 13 years, she developed a solid foundation and expertise in loan administration; starting as a Bank Teller and growing into her final position of Commercial Loan Closer. Laura earned B.B.A. in Finance and Financial Management from Western Connecticut State University.
Alba is a Loan Servicing Associate for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Alba was a Billing Assistant at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP. At Carmody, Alba was responsible for accounting for client payments on billed invoices and coordinating incoming and outgoing wire transfers, often for real estate closings. Alba holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Financial Management Services from University of Connecticut.
Willmar is a Loan Servicing Associate for Stormfield Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Willmar held the position of Loan Servicing Manager for Fieldpoint Private. He was responsible for day-to-day operations, onboarding of Commercial and Residential loans, auditing, accounting, and reporting. Preceding Fieldpoint Private, Willmar worked for The First Bank of Greenwich, ensuring that all servicing and processing procedures were completed accurately, compliant, and in adherence to bank policy. Willmar began his career with First County Bank where he developed a solid foundation and expertise in banking, including loan servicing; starting as a Bank Teller and growing into his final position of Loan Servicing Manager. Willmar earned B.B.A. in Psychology from University of Connecticut.
Matt is a Loan Servicing Associate for Stormfield Capital LLC. Prior to joining Stormfield Capital, Matt was a Financial Reporting Associate for Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management division. He was responsible for internal and external financial reporting and data analytics on various components of the performance of the business such as capital flows, assets under management, expenses and revenues. Preceding his experience at Morgan Stanley, Matt began his career in financial services at the Savings Bank of Danbury in tandem with receiving his bachelor’s degree in both Finance and Marketing from Sacred Heart University.
